John Oldham leads a group to trade with Native Americans in the Connecticut River Valley.

(Fall) A controversial figure who had earlier been expelled from the Plymouth Colony, Oldham and the others return with beaver skins, hemp, and graphite. They return to the area and build cabins in the area of today’s Weathersfield in the summer of 1634.
